We invite applications for a Tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor (Academic Year) with the appointment starting in Fall 2025. We seek to hire a full-time (academic year), tenure-track assistant professor with a specialization in Black Feminist Media Studies. We are seeking an experienced teacher-scholar in: the politics of Black representation in film, television, and media; the uses of media to advocate for feminism and activate social change; and the roles of race, gender, and sexuality in media production. Applicants must have experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds. A PhD in Film/Media Studies or Women's and Gender Studies (or related field to either) by the start of the Fall 2025 semester, required. Must demonstrate teaching experience, research publications, and/or graduate certificate/coursework in Black Feminist Media Studies. Full details of the role & how to apply can be found below.
