She is now being offered for sale and would make an ideal liveaboard. The hull is in excellent condition and the interior has been tastefully fitted out, maintaining a simple aesthetic for a sustainable way of life. There is work required to make her into a comfortable liveaboard, but represents a fantastic base on which to start. She was recently re-engined, has both a solid fuel stove and diesel heater, plus a powerful solar system allowing easy off-grid living. The batteries were replaced two years ago and are in good condition. She was last out of the water in 2022, when she was re-blacked and some minor over plating was done. Initially marketed as the Comfort 34, approximately 300 Sweden 34s were built until 1986 and they remain extremely popular as their seakeeping abilities sets them aside from other family sized cruising yachts On deck she feels safe and solid, lots of teak gives her a luxurious look and moving around is easy. This is the sought-after Mark II version, benefiting from a number of improved design features. The Moody 31 is widely regarded as a capable and comfortable cruising yacht, and Moody vessels in general are highly desirable thanks to their excellent build quality, spacious and well-designed interiors, and impressive sailing performance and seakeeping. This particular example was surveyed two years ago, after which noted recommendations were addressed. The keel was professionally removed and refitted with new keel bolts, the mast was unstepped, inspected, and serviced by rigging specialists, new batteries were installed, and the engine received a full Volvo main-dealer service- all carried out in 2024.
