Assistant Professor in Cinema Studies

We invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate courses in cinema studies, open field for Fall 2025. Must be able to teach current and future cinema studies courses at the introductory level, such as Art of Film, Film History, Film Theory and Criticism, as well as upper-level electives such as Race & Ethnicity in Film, Gender in Media, Latin American/Latinx Cinema, African-American Cinema, Experimental Cinema or Environmental Cinema, among others, with the opportunity to develop additional elective courses/curriculum materials. Course load is 21 credits per year (seven courses). Qualified tenure track candidates will hold either a Ph.D. or other terminal degree in cinema studies or related fields by the time of appointment.
