We are seeking an experienced Post Production Manager. As Post Manager you will oversee a workflow that outputs a large quantity of media produced for broadcast, streaming and web. You're a team builder and leader who is organized, flexible, and has a great sense of process, attention to detail and communication. You will lead a growing team of editors, colorists, and VFX artists in delivering high quality assets that represent the overall vision of Kaleidoscope Pictures and our clients. Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of editors, assistant editors, and post production staff Foster a team environment within the department based on clarity, empowerment, and trust Directly oversee post production process and workflow Work closely with show runners/creators, producers, network executives, production & post staff, and out-of-house post vendors. Work with producers and client stakeholders to create post production budgets and set appropriate project timelines for media deliverables Ensure that project scheduling and budgetary parameters of the post process are followed Source and hire freelance talent and vendors as needed Work closely with external post vendors to ensure all quality, creative, technical and budget needs as well as scheduling milestones are met Keep up to date on current and emerging technologies for post-production processes and delivery. Oversee ingesting, logging and export of all media Oversee storage of media and create efficient and reliable backups and archives Ensure that all media deliverables meet creative, brand, technical and legal requirements Oversee and manage post-delivery elements to networks and vendors, including a thorough QC process. Responsible for the determination and management of systems, technology and software for the postproduction department. Navigate an existing post process while always on the lookout for creating greater efficiencies Qualifications: BA/BS preferred. Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a post-production role and 2+ years of experience in a post managerial role Familiarity with all aspects of the post-production process including but not limited to story editing, color, audio, motion graphics, layout, on-lining, delivery, archiving, and cataloging Superb written and verbal communication skills Strong time management skills; excellent multi-tasker and able to remain calm under pressure Advanced knowledge of digital media interchange formats and codecs Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously Intimate knowledge of scripted episodic and reality series post production workflow Benefits: Medical, Dental 401(k) Match PTO Employment Type: Full-time In-person, COVID-19 safety protocols in place Kaleidoscope Pictures is located at the base of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains in downtown historic Provo, Utah.
