2025-04-17 02:45:05| Spiritual Career Counseling

Startups need to focus on building a strong foundation even if it means they grow slowly, said Amit Jain, co-founder and chief executive of the CarDekho Group, an online marketplace for buying vehicles. It took us 8 years to reach the first 100 crore. And it was a bootstrapped company, so we never raised funds till 2014. Thats when we were actually funded. So, as a bootstrapped company we had kind of hit the 100 crore scale without actually utilizing any cash, and it was profitable everywhere, he said, speaking at the Mint India Investment Summit in Mumbai.Since we did not have money we had to build a strategy to get traffic free of cost, and I think because of that a lot of innovation happened, Jain said.Infra.markets trajectory was similar. The building materials platform was started in 2016, and it wasn't until 2020 that the company got to its first 100 crore sales landmark. That said, the company founders knew their market. What was unique to India at the time was that a ma...

Beyond loyalty: restoring technocratic leadership in Indonesia's democracy - Devpolicy Blog from the Development Policy Centre

2025-04-17 02:45:05| Spiritual Career Counseling

Indonesia is currently entering a new chapter under President Prabowo Subianto and the Merah Putih Cabinet. Yet, this chapter opens with a government structure that is increasingly complex, with new institutions being created and existing ones divided. These structural shifts affect organisational hierarchies, budget allocations and personnel assignments across government bodies. The balance between political loyalty and professional competence in leadership appointments is important. However, the selection of cabinet and strategic institutional leaders has increasingly prioritised political alignment. These appointments are often explained as ways to streamline bureaucratic procedures, accelerate execution and ensure coalition stability. While political considerations are inevitable in any democracy, prioritizing allegiance over expertise risks reducing the effectiveness of institutions. At the regional and legislative levels, key positions are predominantly filled by figures aligned wi...

2025-04-17 02:45:05| Spiritual Career Counseling

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto is considering replacing some ministers in his Cabinet in the coming months due to their unsatisfactory performance and amid political pressure from his coalition partners. This comes as Indonesia is set to record lower-than-expected economic growth for the first three months of 2025. Three senior government officials told The Straits Times that Mr Prabowos inner circle has suggested he remove weak elements in his six-month-old administration in order to accelerate fulfilling his campaign promises. The move comes amid concerns over a weakening economy and softer consumer spending, given the slew of populist programmes that require massive funding and declining tax revenues, which have driven the rupiah to its weakest level against the US dollar since the 1997 Asian financial crisis, and sent Indonesian stocks tumbling to levels not seen in over a decade.Mr Prabowos pledges include an ambitious target for the country to post annual economic growth...
