We are looking for a Long Island Based Camera Op for 2 corporate meetings in NYC and NJ. First event is on May 3&4, you will be shooting presenters on stage speaking along with some audience B-roll. Camera on tripod. We will travel together to event and stay over in NJ. One day travel one day shoot. Paid for 2 full days. Next event is on June 3 and is a similar event but will also need some hand held B-roll of a cocktail party after the event. We will supply all gear. PAID GIG $500 /10 plus meals and transportation. Casting Assistant/Coordinator We are looking for an outgoing, punctual, detail oriented individual to join our team as a Casting Assistant. This is an entry level position in the casting department with growth potential, and preference will be given to individuals who have casting experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Social media moderation. - Media management tasks including uploading self-tapes. - Following up/chasing applicants to ensure they submit materials by tight deadlines, attend casting sessions, etc. - Assisting with drafting and posting social media content. - Strategizing and assisting with brand engagement. - Assisting with research and outreach on jobs that require real people casting. - Assisting with scheduling casting sessions. - Assisting with sign-ins for virtual and in-person casting sessions. - Recording and editing zoom casting sessions. KEY QUALIFICATIONS - You're a post-secondary graduate of a college or university program, ideally in a media-related field of study. - You're social media savvy and, ideally, have social media monitoring/marketing experience. - You're based in Toronto and able to work in the studio (Junction Neighbourhood), with some hybrid flexibility. - You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, G-suite, Dropbox, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, Slack, and ideally some editing software. - You must have your own computer and cell phone with a North America long-distance plan. PERSONAL ASSETS - Outgoing and personable. - You understand the importance of punctuality and tight deadlines. - High attention to detail. - Strong time management & multitasking skills. - Self-starter and confident making cold-calls. - Positive, solutions-focused attitude. - Able to work independently and as part of a team. - French/Spanish an asset, but not mandatory.
