Assistant Professor, Production Design for Film & Television

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Professor with a specialization in Production Design for Film & Television. Required qualifications include a terminal degree in production design, art direction, film production, scenic design, or a related field, demonstrated expertise in film and/or television production design, and a commitment to cultivating an inclusive environment and recruiting underrepresented populations within the discipline. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated professional experience in design within the entertainment industry, membership in a professional union (such as IATSE or United Scenic Artists, USA829), experience teaching at the college or university level, experience or a demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring underrepresented students, familiarity with industry-standard software and design tools, knowledge of art, architecture, or decor history, and experience with new technology such as virtual production, AI, or immersive media.
