A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in public information, video production including shooting and editing, journalism, international relations, public administration is required. Experience in a newsroom and writing about international affairs in a journalistic news style, is desirable. We are seeking a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Spanish Language Media and Film Creation starting in the Fall 2025. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses focused on the creation of media content in Spanish. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in the media professional ecosystem, particularly in Spanish-language content creation, along with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration. Community engagement and experience in culturally diverse settings will be highly valued. Ability to teach Latina/o Studies or Media Studies courses in area of expertise is required. A focus on the study of media and culture, queer studies and/or sexuality, contemporary immigration, or movements for social justice is a plus. Candidates with experience in community-based activism or social justice advocacy are encouraged to apply.
