We are seeking a candidate for a full-time regular faculty position to begin in the fall of 2025. A qualified candidate will have a proven track record both professionally and pedagogically in the areas of fiction film and television development and production. This appointment is for a mid-career applicant with significant professional accomplishments as a screenwriter, with at least three years of teaching at the college level or comparable experience in academic or artistic contexts. Must have an earned doctorate/terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline, OR equivalent professional/experiential qualifications, OR equivalent combination of education and professional experience. We are a multidisciplinary, action-oriented team that believes deeply in the importance of creative independence. Must have at least 5 years of deep, professional experience working in the film community, including a network of connections in film, and industry knowledge about how creative work is funded. Professional experience in both independent and mainstream film is highly preferred. Must have a demonstrated presence within the film community through playing a central role at key events, developing a compelling online presence, writing thought pieces, or making other meaningful contributions to helping independent creators and institutions succeed.
