We are searching for a contract-based video shooter/editor to come to our Union City, New Jersey production studio on a monthly basis to record process videos to be used for social media and digital advertising. The shooter/editor will be provided with a brief in advance detailing key aspects of the process to document, but will also be given latitude to approach the storytelling creatively. Ceramics process videos are already super-popular on social media platforms (including on our own account) and we're looking for someone with a critical eye and artful visual sense to carve out a unique aesthetic for our approach to them. There may also be opportunities to shoot our finished products in-use with professional chefs in their restaurants. After filming, the shooter/editor will also edit the footage. Our goal for these monthly shoots is that they result in approximately 12 short social-first videos per month. Full details of the role & how to apply can be found below. A Senior Editor leads the assembly of compelling, audience-appropriate, multi-channel, contemporary media that engages and builds relationships with target audiences, including prospective students, current students, alumni and partners. An individualcollaborates with creative partners in concept creation, including sound design, music edit and sound mix, through finish stages to produce authentic and inspiring creative for the organization. A Senior Editor technically troubleshoots any production and post-production solutions to deliver projects on-time while maintaining the highest quality bar. Must have a Bachelor's degree in film, media arts, or a related field and six (6) years of professional experience as an editor in a marketing department, ad agency, freelance, and/or post-production house. Expertise in industry-standard editing software (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) required.
