Film Programmer

The Programmer works with the larger programming team on the curation, stakeholder relationships, print research and administration for all the film programming in theater and contribute to the film programming at home, Q&A's and events, and printed materials. This position will focus on repertory programming. The programming slate consists of approximately 900 titles per year (+/- 700 in theater and +/- 200 at home). A mix of repertory, new releases, and special preview screenings. This involves collaboration with film distributors, studios and rightsholders, film archives, filmmakers and producers, curators and other institutions. The role includes film programming and print research, project management, film industry liaison work and stakeholder management. The role reports to the Director of Programming. The Programmer works within the Programming Department on the delivery of several calendars concurrently. The Programmer works as part of a team led by the Director of Programming. Must have a Bachelor's degree in film history, cultural studies, or extensive equivalent experience. Four of more years of experience as part of a cinema programming team as a programmer, associate programmer, or supporting role required. Or equivalent experience at a film festival, film archive, museum. Knowledge of artist moving images and their practice preferred. Full details of the role & how to apply can be found below.
