The Vancouver 27 is a cruising orientated heavy-displacement long keel hull design. These are sought after boats, and are the forerunner to the Vancouver 274 and 28 versions. This Vancouver 27 was inspected at the current winter storage location and first impression was very much a good looking Vancouver 27. Once onboard it seemed a well looked after version having belonged to the current owner for over twenty (20) years. Much appears to have been done in maintaining this Vancouver over the years and it seems to be currently a serviced and well maintained yacht. This 1980 vessel has clearly been loved for many years by her owners and really is a stand-out example of the type which has had lots of improvements and money spent at local boat yards maintaining and upgrading her to keep her in the stunning condition she currently is. There is a recent survey from 2022 (available) and the surveyor states " the condition of the boat is very good for its age" and " that she has to be one of the better examples of this boat about and that she was pleasure to survey". These compact Bounty boats have a huge following with the full sliding roof and low profile they go everywhere on the Broads with ease. This particular boat has a list of improvements and maintenance as long as the proverbial arm and some but not all is listed at the end of this description. She was professionally two pack pained and it shows the second you see her - she gleams and even I thought she was a gelcoat boat the finish is just that good. This boat has diesel warm air heating, inverter system, full shore power system, immersion heater, solar panels, anchor winch, the list just keeps on going and she is pretty much spotless! She has wabasto diesel heating and onboard wifi She starts and runs very well and is quiet and smoke free in operation and this is testament to just how she has been loved and looked after. With the roof fully back she is just delightful. This boat has wanted for nothing and will impress all who see her. Her Boat Safety Certificate expires July 2027. There are two standard double berths but an additional double can be made in the cockpit. This particular model appears to have been well maintained and cared for by her current owner, regularly serviced and antifouled. Another great design features are the two sliding skylights in the cockpit bringing the fresh air in. There is also a galley located in the cockpit too which in my view leaves the cooking smells outside. This boat is fitted with a bow thruster making her easy for berthing/manoeuvre.
