She's been in the current Owner's hands for the last 22 years and has been sailed extensively by him. She's been well looked after with new sails in 2012 and is regularly lifted out for winter. She can accommodate five in two cabins, she offers comfort and convenience for extended journeys, with amenities such as a diesel blown-air heater, galley, and a very roomy saloon. Topside features include an remote electric windlass, wheel steering, cockpit sprayhood, and boarding ladder. She also has an almost new inflatable. She has a decent suite of electronics, including an autopilot, together with solar charging for the batteries. She was re-engined in 2006 and the engine is in immaculate condition and is regularly serviced. These boat details are subject to contract. She offers a great amount of accommodation with two cabins, large galley/saloon and a decent sized bathroom. Plus there is a small desk/work-space neatly configured into the layout. The galley is well equipped with a full sized oven and hob. Fridge/freezer, a combined washer-dryer and lots of storage space. The saloon has a large, comfortable Heels sofa, HD Smart TV, and a modern, highly efficient wood-burning stove. There is also a diesel powered central heating system. The boat is offered with or without the mooring at Poplar Marina, with mooring fees circa 15,000pa. subject to a transfer fee of 7.5%. The current owners carried out extensive work to the hull in 2016, with all the required welding and epoxy paint coatings applied to ensure she remains in excellent condition. The majority of their designs were smaller but we believe 3 of these Sebec 56 footers were made. When looking at living aboard a boat there is often a compromise between having comfortable living space and retaining the ability to go to sea. This boat has both in abundance! She's laid out currently to suit her owners who live aboard full time. The master aft cabin is huge, as well as a large island bed there is a vanity area, lots of storage and ensuite electric heads. The saloon is at deck level, the galley all new with lots of workspace and going forward the cabins are currently singles but would easily be converted to doubles or twins. The engine room is vast for a boat of this size and houses a pair of well cared for Ford Mermaids which drive her along nicely. A bow thruster is a new addition to help with manoeuvrability in a tight marina and there is a new electric windlass waiting to be fitted.
